Today I decided to replace the ugly worn out passenger side window seal/trim. So for those who have not had the pleasure of doing this task here are a few pics. My camera battery was running low so here is what I got.
Here is where I began the photos. After the door panel removal.
Now the trick to removing the old rivots is to drill them two times. First start with a small bit to go through the rivot.
Then goto a larger bit to remove the head of the rivot. Make sure then you let the drill do the work. Just as you see the head of the rivot spin, stop.
Here is the old piece removed. The clips are a real pain to get off. But just be patient. I found that pulling them down then towards me did the best.
And the new piece in the wrapper
Here is when my battery took a digger. I didnt get any pics of putting it on. But basically you want to line up all the clips into the holes before pushing it into place. Then replace the rivots with flat head screws or use rivots again. I used new rivots.
