Re: Alignment in Austin or San Antonio... (RadPolo96)
I can't really offer much help for you in Austin....as a matter of fact I just posted a similar question regarding alignment shops in St. Louis and didn't manage to generate any interest either. Maybe it's just the topic? Maybe no one has any info regarding shops that do reliable alignment work - the dealers in St. Louis seem to corner all the business here, but I'm not sure of the quality. The two that I've spoke with want $125 & $150 for a 4 wheel alignment. What are the prices in your area?javascript: DoInsert(' :confused: ');

They quoted me about the same except they still didnt know how to do it...they said they needed a day to figure it out and then do it. Complete morons.
Re: Alignment in Austin or San Antonio... (RadPolo96)
I have heard good things about Speedy Align here in Austin (both location).
When I replace the springs (stiffer) and sway bars (bigger) I will be going to Don Hewlett Chevy, as they are our club sponsor. They also have very new Hunter equipment. I was planning on doing this on March 9, but my plans were changed about an hour ago. I am going to by flying to WI for my grandmother's funeral. :sad:
When I finally get the changes made I will post my experience.
Re: Alignment in Austin or San Antonio... (RadPolo96)
Just don't go to Sears.. I took it there a couple of years ago. The guys there said you can not align the rear of corvettes. After a pissing contest I decided to look at their alignment computer to see what it said. These guys had the specs for a 87 Chevelle(not to sure about the spelling). My last alignment was done at Brake Check (yes they did a good job). You also get free alignments anytime you want with BC. I've also taken it to Tom Benson on San Pedro. The only drawback is that it's only good for 6 months.
Hope this helps,
Raul

I went to brake check yesterday and they were pretty dumb. They said they have never done it for a corvette. They said It would take most a day to learn how. I told them no....didnt want them experimenting. They also tried to tell me that cuz my wheels were towed in that that ment that the shocks were blown. I dont even think so. :mad

Christian Bros. Did a great job on my Miata. I am going to take my vette their pretty soon. Get this they only charged me for a 2 wheel job even though I knew for a fact and they knew that I knew they really did a 4 wheel job. they only charged me for two because the mechanic forgot to print out the before specs on the rear. Very honest people. If all else fails call Austin Corvette. They had mine done by someone after doing my poly conv. kit. Cost was $120 for a four wheel job though.
