Default LT1 valve cover gaskets

Does ANYBODY make a gasket that fits properly???
I have tried Felpro, Delco and both are a inch to long, I cut them shorter and I get leaks where cut and I used Form a gasket and Permatex blue on the cuts.

i recently used moroso silicone gaskets on my 84 (obviously not an LT-1) and where the fel pro's leaked, the moroso's held up flawlessly.

I just did mine on my 95 ( in july), I bought the felpro ones. at first glance they do look to long, but I promise you they snap right in place. I havn't had any leaks since.

Mine did not fit right in, when I tried to get mine to fit, I had a bubble an inch high.

I literally did mine this week and at first try they seem about an inch too long. You kind of feed it into the channel, push back on it, and feed more in and push back on it etc. etc. Eventually it all fits. I used the fel-pro one with some random gasket sealant and it worked very well. I really recommend it.

They all will seem a little long. Just keep pushing back on them. they'll fit. I just used some from NAPA. Same thing, they don't leak one bit.

Understand that most who reply concerning LT1 gaskets have the later composite covers, the gaskets for your 92 are entirely different.
If the Fel Pro VS50088 set will not fit try GM PN 14088564 (2 required).

Its been a long time since I bought mine - do a search, IIRC there was a part number for a pack of two and the single gasket. I got the pack of two - they were blue instead of the stock orange and fit perfectly.

I can't find the number but it was fairly inexpensive.

Same thing here, at least an inch!

I sent them back to Summit and just re-used the ones that were already on the covers. Not my original plan but "ya do what ya gotta do."

Stranger still is they were shown as being specifically for the LT1 and cost a pretty penny to boot.

the blue ones are for 91's and they fit the 92 perfectly. they're under 20 bucks for the package of 2.
I beleive you can also look for 93 camaro's as they didn't have the composite covers.
