Default Replacing two way check valve

I have a 1987 convertable. I was replacing the two way check valve that is sitting to the left of the distributer. No problem with the vacuum line from the intake and a rubber line that lead to the left toward the master cylinder. However, the hard plastic came from around the back of the distributer broke (very brittle). I cannot find where the line broke from. Pulled the distributer cap to see better but I can not find the missing end. Does anybody know where this line goes to?

Its taped up with a bundle of wires that go into the car. You will have to peel back the tape to find it.

I too had this problem on an 87 vert but with a different line. I took it to the local auto parts store. They had some black hose that was the same size that they sold by the foot. It was much softer than the stuff that was on there after 60,xxx miles.
Fortunately I was able to find where the beginning and end were.
Can you even buy those check valves in case they are bad or broken?

I have previously replaced a section of brittle plastic line. The check valve is available from Chevy. I got some vacuum line from NAPA that slid over the plastic line nice and tight and replaced the bad section. Hopefully I can repair this line the same when I find the missing end.

As mentioned above , is part of the main wiring harness that runs across the firewall. Are going to have to open up the harness (PITA ) until you find the broken end.

Apparently available from NAPA for a couple of $$

Does that vacuum line go through the firewall the same place the wiring harness does? Next to the transmission dipstick?
