Who got the chip??

Ok boys and girls, who has the best stage one chip and why is it better than the others?? Need one for my 1989 6 Speed Roadster and they all look the same from where i am sitting... Only upgrade I have is a tad bigger injectors, and an adjustable regulator...

Hypertech Thermomaster. I put this one in, and it made a big difference. You take a hit on gas mileage, and have to use premium gas, but it works good for me. You do need to put in a 160 degree themostat, and the chip makes the auxilliary fan run more often, as it tries to keep the car below 200 degrees.

Hypertech suxs :U only thing it does is turn your fans on sooner. Fastchips.com for a Ed Wright chip or try thunderracing.com for a chip they also do dyno tuning.

better to get a custom one rather than a generic one. When my time comes, I'm going custom.

With those mods, you dont need a chip. If you want your fans to come on sooner have one custom burned but dont pay Hypertech $200 just to make your fans come on earlier.

I have a similar question: Has anyone tried the ADS Superchip?

I don't expect miracles from it, (its only $100), but it says that it will increase the timing, adjust the mixture, change the shift points and delay the converter lock-up. Only under WOT.

This sounds like it will allow you to better use what is already there in your stock 'Vette.

Anyone with experience with one of these? :confused:

I have had 3 TPIS chips and have had good results with them so far. Quite expensive though. See http://www.tpis.com

I had a superchip in my last vette and while it did make perfomance increases, I did not like the new shift points and really didn't like the fact that there is just no getting ahold of anyone at ADS... I know, I tried 2 dozen times if not more... The phone is never answered nor were any of my mails or faxes... Given that, you might like it but more importantly, you had better like it because you will never be able to return or ask about it...
