EGR Valve Question
David Fulcher pulled a EGR valve from a 89 Vette and installed it on his 90 Vette. It seems to have fixed his Vette. I was going to order the 86-89 EGR valve, but it seems to be the same part number as the 90 now. It way different at one time.
The 1992 Parts Manual had these part numbers for the EGR valve:
86-89 EGR Valve Part Number: 17-11-16-65
90-91 EGR Valve Part Number: 17-11-22-40
In 1997, both part numbers were changed to: 17-11-34-56.
So now the EGR valve part number is the same for 86-91.
The question is should I buy the new part number (17-11-34-56) for $42 and see if it fixes the problem? I'm not sure what the differences were between the original two part numbers.
I'm not sure if anyone can answer this questions, but I figured it was worth a shot! :)

I don't like it either! Even though it doesn't hurt the car, it gives me this feeling it's not working right. My passengers won't be impressed either! :D
It is possible I just have a bad EGR valve and replacing it might just fix the problem?
