I am having trouble with my DD (not corvette) and I was told it could be a dirty MAF. I quick look on autozone and advance websites showed no results. Can I use just and electrical cleaner made for sensors, or does it have to be MAF specific?
It's been a while but IIRC it's available at O'Reilly's, AuotZone, etc. Name on the can is CRC; it's a spray MAF cleaner. I don't know if the spray has to be "MAF specific" and electrical contact cleaner may well work, but I prefer using spray that is.
Be sure to turn the MAF up side down to prevent any fluid from entering the base and be very careful around the wires.

I have used CRC products before. I will look for the MAF cleaner tonight. Thanks for the advise!
CRC worked well on the MAF sensor in my Tahoe...and with the little red tube, revived a dead power door lock switch with a few strategic shots without having to remove the door panel or switch.
I have a 2003 330Ci Its running like crap and I have a code for "Running Lean". I have narrowed it down to the MAF, Vaccum leak, Or one of the 4 O2 sensors (which cost anywhere from $90-150). I got a great deal on the car and it has lasted 2 years with no issues, but when I try to do something Im lost. The germans WAY over engineer stuff.
