Tuning has been a saga. I got the equipment from Moates.net and decided to learn as I go.

List: Burn2 ($80), it will erase and program chips. G1 memory adapter ($35), that will allow a programmable chip to be used. Get two 27SF512 chips ($5), one for a back up or gas/e85 tune. I also got the ALDU1 and CABL1 XtremeALDL (NewCABL1 Combo) ($80), so I could data log. I use TunerPro RT (free or register), for adjusting the program and data logging.

I did fine with the first tune on gas. I have an AEM wide band so used that to check fuel ratios. I went with the 6e mask and did well with it. I had the tune pretty well sorted out. This miniram combo needed a LOT of extra acceleration enrichment. AE and WOT vs RPM (much much more up top).

Then decided to switch to e85. I had a lot of trouble with 6e and my equipment. I had 28 lb LT4 injectors that I got the cost of shipping. I switched those out for FIC 32 lb and they are going static. In hindsight I should have got a 255 gph fuel pump (190 now and it is okay so far but it's on the small side), larger injectors (42?), and used more compression for e85. The fuel is very clean, has more octane, and costs less. Plus it smells good, mmm rum!

Anyways in 6e I hit the a/f cap. The code won't allow the fuel ratio to go to rich (10:1 or 11:1 max) so to get around this you can buy updated code or lower the injector constant. I tried tuning with the 32 lb injectors set to 22. And I have my fuel pressure set to 60 to help the injectors flow more. This made tuning difficult! On the dyno the injectors go static around 5500. We were looking for 12 to 1 a/f and got it steady but by 6000 the a/f climbs to 12.3 which is not terrible so it is what it is for now.

I could get the WOT fueling alright but BLM's were terribly rich. I tried adjusting the MAF scalars and this started getting to advanced for me to do well tuning it. So I switch to 32b and had the tune sorted out in three edits. Tuning the pulse width table is a breeze!!! There was light knock in random places with gas, which went away with e85. Maybe I will try 6e some more later.

Edit, with the e85 and tune tweak it went 12.02 at 116!
