I've contacted a company based out of IL that is willing to do a Vigilante Torque Converter group purchase. Here are the details...
5+ orders - $649.00 + free shipping
So far I have 3 (Mr. Mojo, Matt Black and myself) - any others interested?
Update - here are some more details on the GP.
- The purchase price is only valid for this GP (no other discounts or coupons apply).
- The GP is for a single disk lockup torque converter (any stall speed) only. The multidisk is for race only applications and is considerably more expensive.
- The vendor takes all major credit cards for ordering.
They normally cost $750 or so straight from Precision Industries. They come in whatever stall you want them to be - PI custom manufactures each one to your requirements. They will talk to you on the phone and make recommendations to you based on your setup, power, and intended use.
After you buy one, you get one free stall speed change during the first year of ownership, if you want to go to the trouble of pulling it and sending it back to them.

Cprgmr, are you also planning on lowering your gear ratio? I am wondering how driveable 3.54's with a 2800 stall would be. Anybody have any experiences with this combo?
I am currently stock with 2.59's and would just like more off-the-line acceleration but without sacrificing driveability.

RP_BLK95 - Yep, I have a new diff with 3.54s going in as well. I was a bit hesitant to go with 3.73s as I've heard that they're not quite as strong under heavy load with a set of drag radials on. Based on what I've heard from other members doing these mods, I think that high 12s might be atainable! :D
2800 is just fine even for a modded motor. That's what I have. Of course you'll know it's there..it'll feel a little looser...but you have to give up a little to gain. There's always a compromise.
