Default Balanced or no?

Are the internals in my '84 350 balanced or not. I'm going to build a 383 and want to re-use the same balancer and flywheel and need to know when ordering a rotating assembly if it should be internally or externally balanced. Thanks.

84 should be neutral balanced flywheel and harmonic balancer and you should order a internally balanced rotator to use you parts with.

Default yes and no

your engine is referred to as 'internally balanced'...BUT after assembly it was run on a test stand and 'checked' for vibes...if beyond spec, flywheel and/or harmonic balancer were drilled as req'd...shorts: have the whole rotating assy balanced as a unit for best op
