@#$%^! Hypertech adapter won't come off!
Okay, so what's the Ancient Guarded Secret that Hypertech seems to have neglected to let me in on, as to how the hay to remove the adapter from the ECM socket? I see that it has a click-to-lock sort of spline on the back but I'll be dammed if I can get it to freed to come off. Not that it hurts leaving it on, but someday I might want to remove the thing :mad :cuss

My Hypertech plugs in just under the steering wheel also, but there are no clips or click locks.. I just plug it in, but to get it off it IS TOUGH, I have to wiggle it left to right, and back & forth... be careful not to break off the connecter under your dash..

Actually, if you look closely at the ALDL connector on the car, there is a small bump on the bottom edge, which clicks into the cable. My Autotap cable slips on/off fine, but the Hypertech is a bear to remove. I use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the cable connector over the bump. Eventually I will file the Hypertech cable down a little bit to avoid this hassle.
