Default Diacom help needed !

I can't seem to save a buffer capture of my car, when I do, and retrieve the data, all the frames show erroneous data. I don't get any errors on the capture, save or retrieval, but the data is wrong. It'll show some wacky stuff like speeds over 200mph at 325 rpm, while every frame displays a different ECM prom ID and so on.

Single frame captures saved to disk are fine. This seems easy enough to do, don't know whats wrong. The car's and 89 and I'm using a '82 and up' cable in the diagnostic mode.

Any help would be appreciated...

The correct cable should have #91006 on it for your 89. Check that first; also are you getting any codes set?

Yeah, thats what the program says, but it also says that you could use the '82 & up' #91007 cable if you use the diagnostic mode.

Using it in this way only gives you a sub-set of data but its the only cable I have. This would affect only the ability to save buffer data and not frame data? The data stream seems good until I save it

Guess I'm screwed..
