fuel pressure regulator test?
Well I finally broke down and took my car in....after replacing the fuel pump which did not fix my problem. At any rate, the shop says they "think" it's my fuel pressure regulator. They think...it's just not regulating the pressure properly as my pressure is still not up to snuff......and they can't find any problems with my injectors......but that they have to get to it to check it/replace....a 2 hr job.
Is there an easy way to test it? Just wondering. If this doesn't fix it...she's gonna be parked for quite some time :-(
Also...anyone have Jeff's number (18carfan)....in case I need to call for parts? I told the shop if they can't get me a good deal on a regulator, they were NOT to go ahead...I'd order one from Jeff.

Since then..I did check for vacuum leaks...none. Fuel leaks...none. Fuel pressure test...and the system would not hold pressure. I just replaced the fuel pump (and did the 02 and fuel filter prior to that).
Pressure is still not quite up to par. Drops when you hit the accelerator.
At any rate...here is where I am now :-) Car at the shop.....they say my MAF appears fine, injectors appear fine......think it's the regulator....just seems to me...they should have a way of "KNOWING" before going in there...but hey? I'm no mechanic...so I thought I'd ask here.
