should I move this hose?
There is a metal T piece that takes coolant through a thin hose to the rear of the block.
Currently it is in this position -
T piece marked with yellow circle, hose marked with yellow line.I've always thought it looked wrong where it is. I believe the original GM hose had a moulded T Piece. There's nothing in the FSm about it.
I did the TB bypass a long time ago.
I'm tempted to move the T piece when fitting the new hose so that it doesn't rest on the valve covers.
Where does the original T piece go?
Should I move mine?

Was originally from a small spigot molded on the OE heater hose closer to the firewall .Goes to a port on the back of the intake intended as a steam vent .Only the factory alum head intakes have the vent and nobody has a problem with aftermarket intakes.
Mine has been deleted for years .Run your new hoses direct to the heater and do away with the vent .You can unscrew the metal pipe and put a threaded plug in it's place or remove the lot and plug the intake hole

I disconnected the heater 6 years ago and now I think it has a hole, one of the hose connectors broke off too. I don't need the heater up here in Cairns, but I will replace the heater one day- probably replace the evap at the same time.
Dodgy RH Drive conversion - yeah, the idea is dodgy to start off with.
I'm not sure what is the deal with that hose nor why there is a "T" in the line??
Looks like the far end runs to the heater; where does the two other ends go?
one day to adjust valves i took it off,but for got to cap it,started the car
and coolant started to come out of that ...guess what...directly aiming at the heads
it was like 10 seconds...but enough for me to change the oil inmediatly !!!
Cap it !!!!!
Working on RHD converted cars is a adventure because nothing is where it is in the FSM and every convertor does things differently ; often badly
Line on other side of T doubles back under front of engine to heater now mounted on LHS of car.
