Default Optispark difference???????

Ok, I've been reading about this and I just have a question. I received an Opti I just bought (ebay) and I compared to some pics on a great threadhttp://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...-pictures.html
The question is. Why do my Optispark and the optispark displayed on the thread look different? I noticed that the shaft of the opti on the thread is different to the one I just got. The one on the thread is for a 92 Lt1 and my car has the lt4 engine (96). Please help, I am confused and I am gonna work on my car next friday, so I don't need surprises. Thanks

92-94 (non-vented) and 95-96 (vented) are different. The timing cover and locating pins on the cam are different as well.

Many times the photo doesn't match the actual part you receive. Often mention is made of that in the advertisement photo.

You will be fine if you got the one for a 95 or 96.
What brand did you get??
I hope a Delphi,that would be my #1 choice

My ebay whitebox optispark resulted in a a no-start situation on a rebuild, I kept the cap from it, put my old one back in and it fired right up. Rest of the new opti went into the garbage can.
