??? - kind of looks right, but, pricewise, they seem high for what you get. i found this fleabayer, with a similar bracket, that looks much better at a much lower price - even comes with hardware. review his feedback- several people have purchased the same parts without negative issues. compare the descriptions on both sites...
BTW, i have no interest in either auction! i also have to ask, why do you NEED to put C5 brakes on your 84? even with smart shopping, that a $750 upgrade - less wheels, tires...

I was going to send you the same link. I am considering them myself. Though I purchased a set of 85 spindles. The 84s have smaller bolts for the bracket (weaker).

I have already bought the calipers for $150, already have Cray Scorpians that are going on my car. Just need these brackets and probably upgrade my lines to S/S. Need to buy some rotors,,,be about $100. So I'm only paying about $400 for a set of brakes that stop way better and look 10X better.
Keep a close eye on the holes in the steering knuckle where the adapters bolt on. The 84 knuckle has less "meat" around the holes compared to the 85-87 knuckle. The extra strain from the improved braking with the C5 brakes may lead to cracking around those holes.
$150 sounds like a good deal on calipers, but expect to pay another $500 for the rest of the parts. Go to NAPA and get their C5 rotor or try Rockauto.com for a pair of Raybestos "Professional Grade" rotors. You will also need a set of C5 caliper abutment brackets (attaches to the adapter and holds the caliper). A set of guide pins, bolts, rubber boots and anti-rattle clips should round out the parts.
When you order new brake lines, use the set that you would for the 84; they will attach to the C5 caliper. Get new copper crush washers too.
Try some C5 Z06 pads for the fronts and Hawk HPS pads for the rears. Order the Doug Rippie brake bias spring for the master cylinder. C5 brakes up front will dramatically change the brake bias and you will easily lock up the front wheels with medium hard braking without this spring. The spring will all but eliminate nose dive under hard braking and allow the rear brakes to provide more braking power.

With the above
Bolt up the calipers and brackets to the front hub and check clearance on the wheels you're going to use. 16's won't work, and a lot of 17's won't either. A-Molds and C-5 wheels clear, others may need spacers.
You don't want to find yourself with the brakes installed and no wheels to put on, makes driving tough.
What pads did you get with the calipers? If they came loaded with the stock C5 pads, I thought they had poor stopping torque. So without decent pads you stopping may seem the same.
That's why I recommended the C5 Z06 pads. They fall somewhere between the Hawk HP+ and the HPS pads in terms of braking performance. Cost will run about They are probably closer to the HP+ but with nowhere near the dust of the HP+ pad.
I got my Z06 pads (p/n 88952008) for about $130. The two caliper abutment brackets (p/n 12455799) were $70 for a pair.
As far as the Cray Scorpions, if the offset he has is 38mm, then he should have no problems. Wheel width may be the only issue if they are wider than 11"
I already have the abutment brackets as well. My understanding was if I use factory pads like the Z06 ones that you dont need anti-rattle clips,,no? I might upgrade my spindles to a later yr for some added strength. Already know to buy s/s lines for an '84 and about the proportioning spring but thanks for the advice. My Cray Wheels are for a C5 so they will work without issues,,,I will need to run spacer adapters though to get proper offset. Thanks for everyones suggestions.
I am doing the C5 brake conversion on my 86. My understanding is if you buy stock GM pads they come with the anti rattle clips. If you go after market you will need to buy a clip kit.

Anti-rattle clips are needed regardless of what pad is installed. It's just that OEM pads come with the clips.
