Default Catalytic converter bolt replacement

Removed the exhaust from my 94 recently. On the drivers side there is a 3 bolt flange. Managed to get two of the nuts off, the third, a bolt, sheared off. I plan on drilling out the sheared bolt but the two remaining studs are rusted so bad that there are hardly any threads left on the studs. It looks like if I put any torque on them the remaining threads won't hold. Am I better off to drill out all three and replace with bolts?

Would appreciate others solutions to this problem.

thanks for everyone's response.

I would drill them out and replace with SS bolts with never-sieze.

I would lose them and do the SS as well.

Mine are starting to get in bad shape and I am going to replace them with SS when I replace my cat this spring/summer.

Default Stud size

Hi guys,

I know this is an old thread...does anyone know the specifications of the stud. They got wet during Sandy and are completely thread bare. I would like to replace with SS but do not know what to look or ask for.

TIA!
