OK, that tension-er has the one mounting bolt that goes through that large bracket. Once you take the serp belt off there is no tension left. So, nothing happens.
The reason your wanting to remove it???
I'll take a stab and say that the bearing is bad or rough sounding.
The new Tensioner is ~$60 but at NAPA, you can find the bearing that goes inside for ~$11.
You have to drill out the three rivets that hold the pulley together....replace the bearing and use either new rivets or just a nut and bolt in place of the rivet.
Just saved you $49 bux.
