Finally... found

the oil leak coming from the front of an LT1 engine. I was swapping out the MSD with a factory opti-spark last week end. I found the opti-spark mtg bolt threads had motor oil on them. Apparently the oil from inside the timing cover leaks thru the bolts. I bet some of you guys knew that. I put some silicon sealant on the threads. I have driven the car for a week now. No leaks.

I have a leak somewhere up front also.I haven't pulled it apart yet.I will look at my bolts when I pull it apart this summer

Mine started two years ago with a wp and opti replacement. I changed all of the seals including the crank seal. Also replaced the hub, that was tough. Hard to pull it off.Had to modify my harmonic balance tool to do it. Still had a small leak. Still have my fingers crossed.
