Default I/P Dash Wiring

I have narrowed a wiring problem down on my 96 to a connector (C209) that connects the front and rear wiring harness together. The connector is in a really akward position, and I think might be routed incorrectly. One side of the connector is tightly up against part of the dash and has resulted in a wire pulling out of the connector plug.

Can anyone post a picture of a 94 - 96 back up under the dash on the passenger side? The closest pictures I have found are from people doing heater core replacements, but those were all for early years that are different.

The connector that I think is routed incorrectly is fairly large, black, and has four individual connectors from the rear attaching to it.

In the picture below, the lower red arrow is where the cabling (to the rear) comes from. Once the under dash panel is fastened, it pushes the black connector in the direction of the upper left arrow. This places a lot of strain on the oval area, which is where my bad connection is. I suspect that the connector should instead go behind the rubber panel that I colored a little green on.

Can anyone help me out with how this connector is suppose to fit? Surely it isn't just loose? Pictures maybe?
