Default 1992 clutch release question

I've been having a leak in the hydralics issue with the clutch for a while.
If the car sits for a couple weeks the pedal will go to the floor and not move the clutch. Easy solution is add fluid and bleed.

Well coming home last night I all of a sudden have a different issue.
Normal operation clutch feels smooth and almost no resistance through the entire pedal travel. THis is the way it should be because the hydralics do the work.
Last night I put the clutch in and feel lots of resistance with about 1/3 of the pedal travel left. Still activates the clutch and I can shift so I get it home.

Fluid was a little low, the fluid level was even with the top of the feed hole. Added enough to bring it to the line. This morning I still have the same issue.

I have a replacement slave and hose on the way to get rid of the leaks. Do I need to replace the master as well with this new issue?

TIA

try replacing the hose and slave cylinder first. You don't need to touch the master cylinder to do this. However the conventional wisdom seems to be that a master cylinder and slave cylinder of the same age will both be prone to failure at about the same time.

filling and bleeding a completely dry system is a whole 'nother story.

Yea, it may be the first time I take it to the corvette mechanic at the dealer for something besides an alignment. Doing the brake booster was an exercise and the clutch stuff looks to be as exciting.

Actually its not all that hard. The slave and hose is an easy swap. Just make sure you wrap some teflon thread tape around the threads. That way you reduce risk of getting air in the system. As for the Master Cylinder thats a little bit more of a bear but still managable.

I've been reading and if the slave doesn't do it then it may be the throw out bearing
I'm not in a position to pull the tranny

I may try to tackle the slave
Any ideas on how long it could take if I have a lift?
What about on jackstands?
