Default Another FX3 question

ok I will be sending my shocks out to get rebuilt in the next couple weeks. So now I just need to find out wich actuators are good. Is there a way to find this out, or will it be like trial and error?

They rarely go bad. The old leaking shocks may squirt some oil into them, but that can be carefuly cleaned out. Make sure the're clean and dry, then try them on the rebuilt shocks when you get them back.
The mounting clip must be properly located, the cups must be clean and free of debris. I've fixed many FX3 "problems" with just a little cleaning and TLC.

Can't you pop them off one at a time and have someone turn the dial with the engine on. Look inside and see the actuator move? I need to check mine, and that is what I was going to do..

Every time you turn the ignition key the FX3 system performs an initialization sequence. Full clockwise, full counter clockwise, stop in the middle. This will fail if not connected to a shock. Why not read the diagnostic codes to determine which actuators aren't working? :p:
If it's having a hard time turning the little valve on top of the shock then turn the valve by hand to check it. The expensive actuators rarely go bad.
