I see that a lot of people on here have packages from Loydd Elliott and nobody seems to have anything bad to say about them. However, i am curious how many people here have any kind of package from Advanced Induction? more specifically, either their LT4 heads or their trick flow heads. looks like they are getting some amazing quartermile times. regardless of what final RWHP #s are, if you can dip into the low 11s at all, (nevermind the 10s some are hitting!) you have a super strong motor!

Also, on their website it looks like they do several different stages of intake porting. On the most advanced stage it looks like they massage/enlarge the runners? is this going to help bottom end torque, allow more air to flow more more high end power or both? thanks in advance for any input.

One of the AI guys is on the board somewhere here.
Having a hard running motor is one thing, getting the car to work to get it all to the ground requires a little too.
Whats your budget?

AI makes some good stuff as does LE portworks.

AI is more popular on the fbody forums but you cant go wrong either way as long as you have an acceptable core for the core charge. Thats the only downfall.

From what I've seen, AI makes a great product and LE does as well. AI should run a little more $ between the two. Ericcer had an AI setup on his car and he seemed very happy with them. He sold the car a couple years ago though.

I'm a happy AI owner!

I know of other satisfied AI owners that are members of CF.

If you actually compare what you get for the $$$ AI is competive with LE. I've been an AI customer since FEB 2006 and I can/will testify that RON and PHIL stand behind their products and the customer service doesn't end when the check is cashed.

Honestly if it were not for the work of Ron/Phil, Ed Wright and Brian Ebert I would have moved on to a different vehicle a couple of years ago (Viper, GT500, C5 ZO6, C6 etc) but I have yet to get all of my engine's power to the ground but I'm trying.

I was going to have some stock heads worked over for my build

added up the cost and it simply wasn't worth it.

bought the AFR's instead.

Im also a very pleased AI customer. They ported my heads to a 190cc and gave me a very agressive small cam. It netted me 90 rwhp and 50 rwtq. The cam is only 215/224. A larger cam would of gave me more hp but I was concerned about losing low end grunt. Ron and Phil were with me every step of the build, even through the tune. Just listen to this cam lope http://www.streetfire.net/video/93-L...ette_99186.htm

Sounds like the difference between a good port job that can make good power without overcamming the car and a job thats some oversized pie in the sky # that falls on its face unless you gear it to death and use a ton of overlap to pick up the head. Lots of that out there.

Decent # considering the head and cam size.
