Ok. 96 Lt4. I started to notice a noise coming from the pass rear tire. I checked everything and did not see anything wrong. It sounds as if the tire or the wheel was hitting the car when moving. I have a feeling that it could be a bad wheel bearing but I am not sure. The noise can be noticed at low speeds or when slowing down (around 15-20 mph). Could someone help me with this? What are the signs of a bad wheel bearing? and how hard and expensive would be to fix the problem? Thanks a lot.

Jack up the car so that rear tire is off the ground.
Put your hands at 12 and 6 o'clock on the tire.
Push at 12 and pull at 6 at the same time. How far did the wheel move?
Now pull at 12 and push at 6 at the same time. How far did the wheel move?
If you drive on the street a little play is OK, AutoX, road or drag race - replace with even a little play.
No play turn the tire with your hand (yea it wont move much) if you hear clicking its probably U joints.
If play when you jiggle at 3 & 9 its probably tie rod ends.
