Will C5 brakes caliper work with 15x3.5 prostar front runners? If not what brake calipers or upgrade can be used that will clear or can be made to clear on a c4.

If you're running that small of a tire/wheel setup, why are you bothering to complicate life by transplanting later calipers?
I getting ready to replace all my calipers and rotors I understand you can upgrade the front cailpers to C-5 what are J55 I like to use the stock 16 inch rims that can stock on the car.
Thanks rodj thats what i needed to know that the j55 caliper will clear and is just as good as the c5 stuff.will i need special mounting brackets to install the j55 calipers?
I've got a set of the caliper adapter brackets to install J55/Grand Sport calipers on early (84-87) C4's. PM me if interested. They are brand new and were made by "he who lives in Washington state and whose name shall not be mentioned on this forum."
You would also need a set of J55 rotors to make this work as well as abutment brackets.
To summarize, you would need:
2 - J55 or Grand Sport calipers
2 - J55 rotors
2 - abutment brackets
2 - caliper adapter brackets
2 - wheel spacers (just going by what rodj stated, as I'm not 100% certain. I was going J55 w/17" wheels before I decided to go w/C5 Z06 calipers. Price for C5 setup was a good bit cheaper than going Grand Sport or J55 route.)
