Man, these things fit NICE! I had to remove the AC and ALT back braces but the headers fit in there without touching anything. This car is STUPID loud right now.:) I hooked up all the emissions stuff and only had to bedn the EGR tube a bit to get it to line up. I took it for a short ride with open headers and it wouldn't hook up at all in first gear so I decided to quit before the cops showed up.:D
Awsome, looks like you need a little backpressure.
I just installed TPIS longtube headers and when I kick it down at 20 or so the rear tires want to break loose.
I got the Hookers for my 85. Also got the y-pipe figuring that I could have the Cat plate transferred from my old y-pipe. The friendly Midas guys did the transfer really slick. But the new Hooker Y pipe is about 3/4 inch too narrow for the headers to bolt up. I guess that I am going to have to find someone with a smoke wrench to heat and bend the new y pipe a little. I'm running Dart heads so there is probably a slight angle variation on the exhaust sides. After I got the cat off and all cleaned up, I stared at it for awhile fascinated by the neat honeycomb catalytic matrix. Then I succumbed to the temptation and pounded it all out. :D
