96 LT1 Emmissions Test gremlins
Today I took the 96 LT1 to get the emmissions test at my local DMV. When I got up to the lane everything went fine until they tryed pulling codes from the OBD-II PCM. These monkeys could not even find the test plug under the dash, so I had to remove the lower kick panel directly under the dash to expose the test port for them. I passed, but was pissed I had to remove all of those covers to expose the OBD-II port. Has anyone else had this problem with the OBD-II?

I believe they are mounted UNDER the lower kick panel. Mine is anyway, on a 96. It bolts right to the lower kick panel, about right above the gas pedal.
It is easily accessable without removing anything.
a "hook" thing on one side (drivers side), and a 7mm bolt on the right (pass. side) side.
