CCM Guru's ; what do you think?
So I think the CCM is the correct year (92) because the software version has a 92 in it; version: 92A0235
I can pull codes via the lcd indash (paperclip method), but not from the tech1a, in fact I can not communicate with the CCM in any of the tech1a modes. I'm hoping that this is only because of the pass-key mismatch.
The CCM codes follow: C41, H41, H51, it then display ERR for both the 4.x & 9.x modes (CCM & EBCM) tests.
Um, so I think my next step is to try and hack/disable the pass-key and continue diagnosis from there, tackling the C41 if it resets, etc
Any suggestions from the CCM masters?
If a Tech1a is not communicating, there is something wrong w/CCM or there might be a broken wire or harness not on correctly on the wires from the ECM.
Here is what the FSM says:
Disconnect both CCM connectors, engine OFF, key ON.
F1 and F2 are the orange wires.
Using a test light between term F1 and ground and then between term F2 and ground of GRN connector.
If no for both check for open or ground on ckt900 or open fuse, if only one lit, then check ckt900.
E4 is the brown wire
If both lit, test TERM E4 of same connector using test light to ground.
If lamp not lit, check for short or ground to ckt250 or open CCM fuse 3.
E5 is the white/black wire.
Same connector, test E5 to ground.
If no light, open or short on ckt343 or open fuse CCM 1.
E16 is the black/white wire.
Same connector, test E5 to E16.
If no light, repair open ground to ckt803(G106).
If light, check for bad connection at the terminals.
thanks for the reply,
which test is this? (in your reply?)
I have the FSM's but I've been messing with the passkey / feds issue. I'll try what you suggest I just need to look it up so I can follow along in the book.
Thank you for taking the time to reply & type out the test.
