96 Corvette Antenna Broke - Replacements?
I just broke my C4 Antenna (again). Went to Parts Store to see if they had any that would work and that might bend but not break. Found that "universal" Chevrolet replacement antennas do not work with C4. Has anyone got any ideas, or is an antenna kit, that merely replaces the original with one just like it, the only way to go???

Never saw one that bent. I got the stock one right off the self from the stealership. Just the mast. Not very expensive, but I don't remember how much it was exactly. Was shocked that it was so inexpensive. Not the whole assembly with the motor - the mast is all you need.

Yeah, I've seen those on Ebay as well, and will probably order one soon. I just hoped to find one that would bend, like some of those old shorty antennas I used to see. I ended up cutting the broken mast off, driving out the base of the antenna from the sleeve and then using epoxy to fasten the cut antenna into the sleeve. Works like a charm for reception, but won't retract - need a new ribbon and mast for that. Thanks everyone. Appreciate your comments.
