Chevy was right my car is trying to revert back into overdrive when I get up to 70mph. After 70mph the car starts to skip and the shift light comes on and then goes right back off as if the car was out of 4th gear. Now when I press the OD button on the stick shift the car downshifts like it suppose to, then I can go as fast as 100mph and it won't skip a beat. But as soon as I press it again the (D) comes on. When I get over my lucky # it starts up again. What in the world could this be. Helppppppppppppppppppp
Make sure you have enough fluid in the OD! This is critical for that OD unit. Pray that it's clutches aren't burnt and the planatry is OK. I change my fluid about every 1500mi and I always check/monitor my undercarriage for leaks.
Soon you will know why us 4+3 owners keep a spare tranny hanging around. :)
The OD light comes on when I shift to 2nd gear and the car is running fine until I hit 70mph. Then it starts to fishbite, however if I press the OD switch on the shifter, the car downshifts out of OD and go 110mph it drives just fine. But as soon as I hit it again, the OD light comes back on and go over 70 or better it starts to fishbite again.
I would start with a new filter or screen and some fresh fluid. When you say FishBite  I assume you mean it's slipping or a jerking feeling can be felt. The seventy MPH thing may have something to with pump pressure being inadequate. This is why I susgest you change/add the fluids. Do you know how to do it?

Re: (szukrider)
If it was low, and it was "grabbing" for O/D, and you did drive it 70-120 mph like that, you probably burned up the unit.
*Never* drive it in O/D with the fluid low or with problems going on. Keep it off until it's fixed. Trust me. Do it now, maybe you'll get lucky and not have to spend $1400+install on a new one.
I took it too another Chevy dealership and they think that the engine is missing, but since the car is not showing any error codes they are confused too. Now i'm bck to square one. I was told that you would get a code even if the tranny was low on fluid, no one wants to check the levels so I guess I'm going to have to get up under there myself.
