Yes I spent almost 2Hours going throuh the wiring and the ICM conection is new and the Coil conections are also new.

I would look at the MSD unit.I'm in the process of changing my MSD unit with 650mi. on it it shows a dtc36 code. Tim

Yes I know im in denile about the Opti again , even though im getting a Code 42 ive got an idea its my MSD Opti because I did have a Code 36 but its gone now. I think I may send the PCM in to be checked out first . My MSD is not under warrenty but I think you can send them to MSD for repair and thats alot less money then buying a new one.

Also did you open up your MSD Opti to see if their were any visible problems ?

No not yet. I have to have it sent in by june (one year warr.) Code 36 is high resolusion code 16 is low. I hit the revlimiter in first gear twice I think that did it.(should be able to do that all day long) I'm not driving the car this summer. Thinking about a motor build and some other changes. You can send the msd for repair,they may give you a break on the price. You have to call first. You have to have a repair number or something before you send it. Got to be cheaper than a new one. Tim
