I replaced my factory Bilstiens with crappy Gabriel Ultra shocks. After just 3 months they are garbage. I want a stiffer ride. I hate how soft my 94 rides especially out front. Will KYBs do a better job? Is it really worth spending the extra cash for Bilstiens? And if I were to get Bilstiens is there a difference between the base and z51/autocross? I would prefer getting the autocross ones I suppose they are stiffer?

I had KYBs " and they we'er JUNK" on my 1st 94 but for my present 94 Tokicos are the way to go,totally superior to KYB in every performance measurment.

I had Tokicos on my 91 Mustang and they were awesome. Where did you buy yours?
Ive never had or seen a failure on a KYB been using them since the 90s. It will make it firm for sure. May seem a little stiff first week or so but will soften up some.
Later C4s use a softer spring than the earlier ones.

-springs matter most
-kyb's are not a real stiff shock
-Never seen them fail, but I don't recommend them for performance
