I have a friend who is selling a Paxton Supercharger for a 96 corvette. Will it interchange with my car. I'm not sure if the supercharger is an lt4 application, though. If I found out it won't work, I'll list the contact info here in the forum for you lt4'ers.
If it is a Paxton ball drive SN__ series I wouldn't buy it. I have many Mustangs friend that had those rebuilt regularly. Go with the Vortech and froged pistons w/ 9:1. You'll love the power :)
i have a Paxton SN92 on my truck, and it rules!!! i've had it for 2 years now, and it works great. the worst thing it has done too me is that it used to be almost silent, and now it makes a quiet blower whine. i use a mix of Trick Shift and synthetic trans fluid and it goes and goes....
I, too, have a friend who had big problems within 2,000 miles with a Paxton on a 5.0 Mustang. I'd go with an ATI Procharger before the Vortech either. You could go with either the ProCharger P600B at $4,996, or the new ProCharger P1SC model for $5,296. They told me I should look for a 40-45% increase in power on my LT4. The LT4 has higher compression, so they recommended going with only 6psi boost. The LT1 could safely go up to 8psi for a 60-65% gain. http://procharger.com/sc.htmlhttp://procharger.com/applications.html
I wouldn't complain if I had ~500 reliable horsepower and a 3 year warranty on it! Time to water the money tree.
