The car just started this recently. When I first crank for the day sometimes it fires and then quits. Sometimes it keeps running and runs fine. If it does quit then when I go to start it again it floods and then sometimes it will fire up and run but today it isn't running. I can disconnect the fuel pump and it will finally fire and run the gas out of the fuel rails and then of course stop. I hook the FP back up and it will not fire back up for anything. I've tried three different fuel regulators and it makes no difference. I have 30lb FMS injectors on the car. Is it possible they are to much for the stock heads? Is there an adjustment for the injectors in the tune that may be off?
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up? What's it reading when running, & does it hold pressure when the engine is off. You may have to check the resistence of the coolant temp senser(it changes w/ temp). 30lbs. injectors sounds big to me, I think when you choose injectors you gotta be honest about your build. Just don't go by what the tech guy said, double check at other sources like here.
30# seems excessive, as stock 24's will take you to 400.
Did you check the ohm's on the injectors and put a noid on them?
Did you check fuel pressure while cranking?
Did you change the pump to match the new injectors?
I didn't test fuel pressure but I can. I figured it had plenty since it was flooding and with three different regulators I didn't thin it could be excessive. I can check it though in a few.

It will not hold fuel pressure very long, maybe 20 minutes before it starts dropping very slowly. The injectors are new and are not leaking. I can't find any leaks whatsoever.
The injectors were doing fine until all of this started not long ago. It was my tunes recommendation to move up from the 24's I had on the car.
Is it possible that the spark just isn't hot enough? The plugs are NGKTR55IX gaped at .050
Mike - are you still using the factory heads unported with factory valves?
I have the same 30# FMS injectors with no problems thus far over the past couple years. Lots of people told me they were too much, but Lloyd told me to use them and not worry. I guess it could be a function of the factory heads but not sure.
I just wanted to let you know I'm using the same injector as you and have had good results but with the LE2 heads.

Thanks BG. It has run just fine with those 30's.I don't know how they could be the issue now.

The tuner has to turn it down, correct? An adjustable FPR will not work on OBDII

On another note I put a Noid light on it and all the injectors are pulsing. Fuel pressure is about 40 running.
Now I have another problem. I can get it to run but it seems to be running on about half the cylinders and the temp gets up really fast. That might explain why it's flooding so bad this time. Looks like it might be opti time again.
