Default C4 problems: Heating

I am having a problem with my 1988 corvette, the heater does not seem to turn off. Has anyone else had this problem? If so could you please advise me as to how the problem was solved? Thank you.

If you have C68 AC you have a programmer problem more than likely.
look up under the passenger side, take out the hush panel, there's a motor up there with a crank arm on it. in heat run the temp from 60-90 bet you don't see or feel any movement.
Do a search on C68 programmer. The programmer is up above the gas pedal on the driver's side.
Do the vents respond correctly to mode changes? If they don't that's another sure sign the programmer has a problem.
You need the troubleshooting guide from the FSM.
From what I read the 88 doesn't have a hot water valve so your door is open some. It could be the motor but I bet it's the programmer.
I had to work over some runs on mine with wire. The foil just gave up after 20yrs.

here's the place to start. The two transistors turn on and off to change direction of the heat/vent motor. I ended up down on the board and found no voltage at the collector of one of the transistors when it finally dawned on me the run had to be shot.
Have fun....
