It's been a little while since I've been on the forum so let me start by saying hello to all.
I also am the proud father of my 2nd son Daniel : 3 months old now.
I am buying a 96 LT4 collector edition with 18k miles at a fair price. Should have it in a week just gave them a deposit to hold it untill i get some funds to pay for it.
Question: what size rotors come on the 96?
I will be putting my 90 up for sale if anyone is interested. you cann check it out on my web site and i will post it in that forum.
Steven, I love it when a guy takes charge and makes his dreams come true! I know that you have lusted after an LT4 practically since they were new. So I guess this means the new job is going well, congrats.
When do the mods start?
Oh yeah, since we are talking about car purchases, if I am successful, wait till you see what I am in negotions to buy from another forum member. I'll wait until its a done deal - but when you hear the thunder of the heavens just outside your front door, you'll know its just me bringing my new toy over to play. This will make 5 cars for me, which is too many, so I'll be looking for new owners for the two '67 El Caminos.
Vic thanks, are you the new guy that beach was telling me has a faster stock L98 than me? You are running some good times!
Green rocket i will be calling you tomorrow with the vin #. It's not a GS but it is the collector addition with the LT4, and yea i have wanted one for a long time. I'll miss the 90.
So what are you buying NOW? Let me now if you need a good driver at the track.
You'll need more than just being a good driver for my new toy - do you have your NHRA Comp License yet? Ready to make some license passes? Your jaw will drop and you'll have a crazy grin when you see it, I'm sure you will like it :)
Oh yeah, as I read your posts and think about a new user name for you...well, I'm thinking that "Malaprop man" would be good - gotta do some spell checking before you post. Addition/Edition; well, its one of those 'tions. Reminds me of a butcher of language that I used to work with; one day he used "betrailed" where "betrayed" would have been the word. I almost corrected him until I realized how well his made up word got the point accross. In your case it is an "addition" to the collection!

If I remember correctly from the Black Book, the formerly-optional J55 13" front rotors became standard equipment in either '95 or '96. 12" on the back still.
Thomas now knock that off, Don't be teasing me now.
Well if I am going to be needing a license it will have to be runnining nines or better. And you know I would not argue with you on driving something that fast! So is it long and narrow? :yesnod:
But its just so fun to tease you :) Its not long and narrow, its a rather blunt instrument, its a door car, it has plates even - but it is a bit on the overmotored side (you know, when too much is just about right). Just to make your head spin a little: it is actually "mild" for what it could be. Soon man, soon you shall see...but in the meantime I'll just let you go nuts trying to figure it out.
