Default Throttle Body Question

I got a TB off a 89 l98, I have a 86. After taking mine off and swapping things around I find out the Throttle cable hooks up in a different place. Mine slips over a shaft on the inside of the bracket and held with a jesus clip. The new one has a groove that the cable rests in and the end fits into a slot. Can I drill a hole in the bracket and hold mine on with a nut & bolt or is there a adapter that I can get... Sorry no pics need batteries for the camera.

One of those TBs are year specific but I dont remember which, its either 88 or 89. As far as fabricating, anything can be adapted. Make sure nothing binds on your throttle cable unless you wanna Toyota something.

Good luck!

Just got off the phone with a vette shop, they said that I have the right TB but I will have to change my throttle cable to the style with a different end. or I could drill and bolt it on as a temp fix.
