Default Coolant question

Tonight I pulled into the garage and shut my car off. Right before I turned it off the fans kicked on and the temp was 224. After I got out I went inside and came back out and heard the overflow bottle bubbling. I opened it up and it looked normal. I am assuming it was just hot from me turning it off when it was hot.
Had anyone had this happen? Is there a problem or is it because I turned it off hot?

What your hearing is normal.
Quite a few cooling systems will do that.

Your fine, as long as you didn't see any leaks.

Virtually always, your coolant temperature will increase after you shut the engine off - because the coolant is no longer circulating. That is where your overflow tank comes into play. Have you noticed that it has a "Hot" level and a "Cold" level? Just check it later when it has cooled off and I'll bet the overflow leve has dropped.

Unless it leaves a puddle on the floor, or unless you have to keep topping off the coolant, then there is no problem.
