I just put on new fx3 shocks and good actuators. The system does its self check. I was wondering does the light come on when you first start the car. Mine doesnt. And how do you know when the switch is working. I cant tell if its working or not. Any help will be great!
Key turned to "on" position: the DIC "Service Ride Control" will illuminate. Start the engine and the light goes off.
The FX3 needs speed and corners to be most apparent. In a straight line not so much. Mountain or canyon roads ~ 70 mph it is very noticeable, not very noticeable at slower speeds.
Try turning the ignition "on & "off 5 or six times. If memory serves after 3 times the SRC light shud come on. If it doesn't maybe the PO removed the bulbs. Check the SRC module connections in the storgae unit behind the drivers seat.
Pull one of the actuators off of the shocks. Have some one else start the car and when the self test takes place you should see the gear within the actuator turning.
