I'm about to order my tune stuff from Moates, I just want to get anyones opinion on stuff I'm ordering. I have a 88 vette.
I was told to order the APU1 Autoprom package and the GP1. Any remarks?
Yes, you need that. The Burn2 reads and writes the chips, just not while you are driving. Have to burn the chip, then install and datalog results. The APU lets you make changes on the fly. I have the chip on a circuit board on the dash (via ribbon cable) so I can leave the ECM in its place. Works great. The APU is probably better, but I did not want to spend the $$$.
I Got my stuff from Moates last week for my 93. Bought the kit APU1/USB vs and 2 G1 adapters, the HRDM (?) adapter to read my old chip on the memcal and a few extra chips. I am not a computer geek and having some problems getting setup. Problem 1. Tunerpro RT does not recognize the APU1 hardware. and I can't unzip my key for the software. I have a Sony Vaio Pentium 4 2.8ghz with Windows XP. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to try and get it figured out and hooked up to the car to datalog.

Do you have the definition file for your 93 ? You have to have it for Tunerpro to read the bin. I dont remenber needing a key for the software but its been a while.
