Default Original Dana gears?

Hey guys - usually in the C1 section, but sliding over here for some more appropriate advice.

I'm using a Dana 44 IRS out of a '92 Vette under my '60 Vette with an aftermarket frame, LSx motor, and T56. While I have it all apart, I'm having the rear gone through and figured I could use some more gear. I think I have settled on 4.10's.

I'm hoping someone can point me somewhere that might still have original dana gears.

I've been searching the many, and often heated , threads on gears, so if I missed anyone pointing out gears to minimize noise, slap me on my wrist and I'll move along.

The shop doing the rebuild recommended I avoid the normal aftermarkets gears if possible, so I'm giving it a shot. I've learned a lot lurking on the C4 threads to make the most of this setup - thanks.

Consensus over here is to use the Viper 4:10 set which is Dana manufacture. See the last post in this thread for a part number.

If you do a search of C4 Tech and C4 General with search terms "Viper Gears" you will find more information, good luck with your project.
