Trailing links year change?
My question is, my original upper and lower trailing arms looked like the center section is made of plastic or some form of fiberglass (like that of a fishing rod about as large in diameter as a Sharpie marker pen), with aluminum ends that hold the rubber bushings. All of the photos I've ever seen of these links, they are solid aluminum bars. These bars are extremely light weight, especially compared to the steel arms I just installed. Did they change the design of these in later years from the aluminum to the plastic? Mine is a 96 LT4.
They're still in pretty good shape, so I think I'll hang on to them for spares and maybe see if I can replace the rubber bushings.
