shattering tranny
1994 6spd. 185,000 miles. engine runs great but the flywheel and or clutch and shattering bad. To the point SOMETIMES downshifting to the point where my car feels like its hopping on the ground. Not always does it do it violently but it always shatters a little bit getting out of first and in reverse. I had a stage 2 clutch and a used gm flywheel put in 2 years ago. What is good for these cars. I have money to spend but would rather not as I just spent 2,200 on headers and instal and some other little stuff. P.s. my flywheel had 80,000 miles on it so I am not sure if I should have it turned or not. AND how hard would it be to do this myself?
