I bought a 1994 convertible vette a few months ago and am very pleased with it. What I was writing about is I noticed it felt like a plug was a little weak and when I got to looking at the wires this thing still has the factory wires and plugs at 95K. I am going to change them immediatly. I just wanted to post this because I was amazed the thing is still running good with those wires and plugs.
P.S. Yes it did have a new air filter in it and yes I have done changed the oil and put sythetic back in it. I know I need to go ahead and flush the coolant system to be on the safe side and I figure I will go ahead and order an air foil for it
P.S.S. Where can I find the rear axle ratio for the convertible? Mine is an automatic.

Also, you might want to hit the grease fittings, flush/change the diff. oil, trans fluid, power steering fluid and brake fluid. Check all the hoses and the belt.
I'm sure others will chime in with additional areas to check but its a good start.
Congrats! I bought 94 about 2 weeks ago. So far: both lower ball joints, both outer tire rods, inner tire rod, cracked right exhaust man., vac. check valve, broken vac hose to climate control, both leaking AC valves. Intermittent right window problem, antenna mast, tr. pan gasket, oil pan/r. main seal(?) leak, bad rack and pinion adjustment, bought 2 front tires.
Good luck!
first of all check front suspension. and fluids.
Spark plugs are platinum from factory and have to be replaced at 100K miles.
On your '94 convertible you may find the RPO codes sticker not in your center console, but on the lid for the rear storage compartment behind the passenger seat. Code G92 for the performance axle.
