Just under 57k. Has a slight oil leak so I am having the rear main changed. Also, swapping out the radio, the shifter boot (its ok but not like new!), and the seat covers.
I want it like a new car. Plan to buff and wax it pretty soon too so the exterior looks as good as the inside.
motor oil, rear diff fluid, tranny fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, serp belt? haha just throwing out ideas. im finishing up all the basic maitence on my car now, then its time to make more power!
Rear main leaks are fairly rare on one-piece rear main engines. Are you sure that is the source of the leak?
I had it on the lift twice. It is coming out of where the transmission bell bolts to the block. It comes out of the bottom of the seam. It is not the intake and I can find no other leaks anywhere. It is not a huge leak but I want to get it fixed.

The belt is fairly new, motor oil is new but changing it again with the new seal, rear diff fluid should be changed and will be, tranny fluid is also new 3k miles ago. Pretty much the ol' girl is ready for summer. Only other thing is I will probably change all the weather stripping. I changed the outer window seals (took me only about 1 hour to do both) and want to change the rest too.
I am with you. I would LOVE to make mine faster but I have other financial obligations. College is mighty expensive when you foot the bill yourself. Also have to make sure I can pay the monthly bills of owning a home. Thank GOD that I own my home free and clear or I wouldnt be able to make it. If I pick up another part time job I might try to do a few things to the car but unless I find another job I am stuck with just owning a STOCK convertible corvette.
