Default Testing IAC's

Yikes... I just yanked the engine out of my 84 the other day to put a new crank in it. After I got it back together I balanced the TB's etc. Since then I can not get the IAC's to reset. The 1200 rpm idle is a bit disconcerting! haha Any of you hi-tech guys out there have a procedure for testing IAC's?

not off hand. Try dissconnecting it and seeing if the car will run. (test for bad sensor). To adjust the iac is really quite simple. Pull it out and adjust the spring either clockwise or counter...in your case probaly clockwise to lower the idle speed. good luck

Testing or Adjusting? Here's a good source I found mentioned in this Forum: http://www.geocities.com/jgkov/index.html
