Default New Distributor jumps thru hoops ?

Hello all,

Ive been doing small projects on my 89 over the last month and
its looking and feeling good.
Also been thinking, as most owners do, of upgrading a few areas,
without yet digging into the heads and opening things up.
Ive ran out of the first upgrade areas, life is funny...

So I was thumbing thru my h-ecklers catalog, and looking at
distributors, they talk ' replace your old and tired distributor, etc.. up your power ' kinda funny.

I already have an accel thunder coil, upgraded ignition module, accel cap, rotor, wires, etc... was thinking it wouldnt really make a huge difference with the actual gear, shaft, mechanical guts of an all new distributor, {leaving the the coil, module, out of the equation. }
My 21 year old one gets me around pretty good.

Just wondering if anyone went with an all new one and what there experience was.

I do like the shiny cap of the MSD system, I just like shiny stuff.

If the Gear is ok-and the ^ play isn't excessive, and the Shaft isn't all wobbly in the Housing, you're probably good to go. HEI is a good Distributor. I use MSD Cap/Rotor & Wires myself.
