Instrument panel illumination problem on my 90 L98
I Just bought this car and I'm not sure what the instrument panel illumination normally looks like. When my headlights are on and the dimmer switch is up near the top position, the only thing I can see is the center rectangle with the digital speed and fuel indicator, all of the other gages are completely dark, then as I lower the dimmer switch, the gages start to appear, but they are very dim, along with the center digital speed and fuel indicator. I am open to any suggestions.
Thank You

When the lights are on, the radio display and button illumination will track with the center cluster display as you rotate the dimmer control. (It's not night here so its kinda hard to describe what the nighttime illumination looks like.) However, there is a light level sensor in the middle of the dashboard just behind the windshield and if it's covered or inoperable things just won't work right - the dash illumination is dimmer at night controlled by that sensor.
One other thing - the 90 Corvette is either an L98 or an LT5. The LT1 didn't appear until 92. And if you really have an 89 or earlier, my comments do not apply.
