Intake Manifold
I love this forum. This is like my 4th question today everyone is so helpful. Anyway if my intake manifold is cracked is the any urgency to fix it right away? Can it cause problems? Is it fine to drive? Is it easy to replace for someone who is ok at best under the hood? And does anyway else sell one other than lingenfelter? Thanks again Ron :seeya

It depends on where it is cracked. You can be either leaking air/fuel, oil, anti-freeze, or no problem at all. So you have a 25% chance of no problem depending on where the crack is. If it were my car I don't think I would leave a so so mechanic fix it for me. And yes there are plenty of places to buy a new intake or a used one. if its leaking coolant you should fix it soon, if its leaking oil you can live with it for a while. Lingenfelter makes the best intake manifold, but i dont know of any other bases besides that one and the TPIS BigMouth

What kind of engine is it? L98? LT1? LT4? TPI? Crossfire?(ceasefire) Don't run with coolant going into the oil. oil turns into tapioca pudding. It's quite an involved job if you're not familiar w/ that kinda procedure.
