LT4 Power Surge
I am having a hard time figuring this one out so I figured I would put it up here to see if anybody had some ideas, So here goes...
I have a 96 Coupe LT4 Base, The car runs and drives like a beast when the outside temps are cool, the problem I have been dealing with is that when it is hot out and the motor has been going for a while, Like on the freeway after I get off and hit the city streets the engine starts surging. If I drop it into Drive and have it under load it stops.
I have checked the obvious Intake leaks gas etc. I was going to start looking at the 02 sensors but wanted to see if anybody else has had to deal with this issue or has any ideas of other things to take a look at

Underhood temperature can wreak havoc with an optispark on its way out.
I had that problem in a 93. As the car would get hot (especially hot outside) it would surge and buck under a load.
I don't know how much you've been having this problem but it could also be as simple as bad gas, but if it continues through more than one fill up, optispark may be something the think about.
